It
is with a heavy heart that I convey that our beloved
Peter went to the bridge this evening. He went very
gently and peacefully. We were hoping for that and
we know it was due to your purrs. Thank you again
for being such wonderful friends. We could not go
through this without your support.

To our loving, sweet brother and friend, Peter,
This is so hard because we have had you for 17 years. Mom remembers when you were born. A 6 ounce kitten and that was big! You grew into a lovely big boy and became a grand show kitty. And you loved it.
You took after you fur father, too. Ataka liked to sleep under the covers right next to Mom. You liked to sleep right next to Mom, too, but on top of the covers. You got your sweet, loving personality from your Mom, but mostly from Ataka.
You also became our watch kitty. We remember the night that people rang our door bell at 1 AM. You woke up Mom and ran to the door while she followed. She looked out the peep hole and didn't know who the visitors were. You jumped on the little table and started meowing and growling very loudly. They heard you and left quickly!
We know you are healthy and cancer free now. You are happy and among all of your friends and family. We are sending you one of your very favorite toys. But we miss you so much. Mom's lap still stays empty and your side of the bed is cold because you are not there to keep it warm.
We love you, dear Peter. You have been our playmate, our friend, our protector, and our soul mate.
When the time come for us to go to the bridge, we know that you will be waiting with open paws.

I can't begin to tell you how bad we
feel that Peter has gone to the bridge, he was such a
handsome boy and everyone will miss him so. But his trip
was easy and he was at home with the family and I
believe that is what counts the most. Here is a little
graphic I made for him, please feel free to use it if
you like, or put it in his memorial when the time comes
from our bunch in Florida. All our purs are with you and
your family, please be aware of a little breeze that may
flutter past your cheek, that will be Peter telling you
he is ok and that he loves and misses you.

We just heard about Peter, and we
are so sad. We are relieved that his trip was peaceful
and he was surrounded by love.
Our computer has been down for
several weeks (again, swear we got a lemon) so was not
even aware he was sick.
